|CORRECTION: PERSON OF INTEREST SOUGHT IN AN UNCLASSIFIED DEATH
NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 46-year-old Kwan Allen, who is a person of interest. This individual is not a suspect in the incident just a person who may have critical information about the death of 16-year-old Kaylan Ward. The incident took place June 4, 2015, on the Interstate 10 East Bridge at Bullard Avenue.
At around 6:38 a.m., police responded to a call of a body on the bridge. When officers arrived, they observed the body in the right shoulder emergency lane.
Ward was last seen walking river bound on Earhart Boulevard near Magnolia Street, at approximately midnight. At that time, she was attempting to get a ride to North Miro Street.
Ward was last seen wearing a black shirt, black bike shorts, and orange slippers.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to ascertain what happened to the victim.
Below is a photograph of Kwan Allen. Allen is not a suspect in the incident just a person that may have critical information about the incident.
This individual may also use the name Kwan Thomas.
