NOPD Searches for Subject in Fifth District Armed Carjacking

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is searching for a subject in a Fifth District armed carjacking.

The incident occurred June 4, 2018 around 2:18 p.m. in the 1900 block of Agriculture Street.

The victim parked his vehicle in the 1900 block of Agriculture Street. While still seated inside the vehicle, he was approached by the wanted subject, who was armed with a handgun.

The perpetrator then opened the driver’s door and demanded the victim out of the vehicle at gunpoint.

The perpetrator fled the scene inside the victim’s vehicle eastbound on Florida Avenue towards Elysian Fields Avenue.

The subject is described as a black male with a dark complexion, standing between five feet five and five feet six inches tall. He weighs between 150 and 160 pounds and is in his early to mid 20s. He has tattoos on his arms and was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, a black cap with the Chicago Bulls mascot logo on the front and black Nike Air Jordan brand shoes.

The subject was armed and holding a black revolver handgun in his right hand.
