NOPD Searches for Equipment Stolen from Fourth District Construction Site

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is searching for property stolen from a construction site in the Fourth District.

The incident was reported on June 1, 2018 near the intersection of Hermosa and Lawrence streets.

The victim told police he last saw the equipment, a breaker head attachment for a Bobcat valued at $5,000, secured in the bucket of the Bobcat on May 31, 2018 at 6 p.m.

The victim returned to the location at about 11:30 a.m. the following morning and discovered the piece missing.

The victim reported that the piece was secured with the Bobcat and the only access to the equipment was to move the Bobcat and that an unknown person used the start code for the Bobcat to start the equipment and move it to access the breaker head.
